B.E.C. Sand-cast wedges

I had a run of these custom made to my specs the old fashioned way. They're sandcasted, and have the exact texture inside and out as the originals.

They take hammered paint the same way as OG: the paint lays differently than on a perfectly machined surface, yielding a much more primitive and vintage accurate look and feel. Believe me, it sounds like a small thing, but if you have a vintage enclosure, one of these sand cast enclosures, and a modern precision cut enclosure all painted up, the differences will surprise you. They look and feel how the crusty fuzz inside sounds. 

These go a long way in deepening the '60s fuzz vibe. The unwieldy heft and shape suggest that a handmade fuzz--tuned well--is an instrument, not just an accessory. A Focus or Old Pal build in one of these is as close as you'll get to the experience of an original.
