I call my Buzzaround, BARTLEBY. The Baldwin-Burns Buzzaround was perhaps the loudest and most punishing vintage fuzz. Though it shares its design with the (Italian-made) Elka Dizzytone, Tone Bender MKIII, and a strange American fuzz that runs on 3v, the Buzzaround tends to be the most aggressive of this family.
Blackstrap replicas feature the exact vintage layout hand-wired on NOS phenolic tag-board.
A word of caution, this fuzz gets loud enough to kill your speakers and damage your hearing. Start with all three controls off, and work your way up from there.
Brierly is available in Standard, Focus, and Old Pal construction.
To hear the Buzzaround, check out Robert Fripp's wonderful work with John Cale (Fear album) and Brian Eno (Another Green World album).
