6G2 Fender Princeton 1964
Got this from the original owner through a professional broker who described it as mint condition. I see a tiny bit of your typical rust dust stuff on the outside of the chassis. Other than that, it really does look brand new.
It lived its whole life in the desert, so all of the hardware is still shockingly shiny and polished looking. Grill cloth is tight, and unlike most of these, the baffle goes all the way snug against the faceplate which looks very nice.
The cabinet looks new and clean. As you can see, the circuit is completely original, and this one has all the blue Ajax caps, as opposed to a mix of Ajax and turd caps as you see in most of these. The transformers are clean and original. All the tubes are top shelf RCA and Mullard brand, and are as far as I can tell original to the amp.
It still has a two prong cord, so if you're planning to use this, I would definitely change that out ASAP, as it's dangerous and it adds noise.
The original speaker doesn't seem to be working quite right, as it's trebly and quiet. I am happy to include a modern Jensen c10r at no additional cost so it's ready to roll. I will of course include the original speaker as well.
Please consider the many detailed pictures parts of the description. I cannot list every tiny thing in text here, so if you see anything you have questions about please reach out.
Because this is a rare and vintage amp, there are absolutely no returns. There are so many unscrupulous buyers out there that take these things apart, take measurements or what have you, then return it for some dubious reason.
